Descrizione
Morfologia
Cavity generated from the orthogonal faults formed at the edge of the cliff; these faults have resulted in a cavity with three levels of passages and two external entrances. The first level and main entrance corresponds to the cave itself, accessed from the base of the cliff via the main fault about 3.5 m high. Shortly along, it loses height and forces passage through a crawlway that leads into a high corridor orthogonal at first, which continues upwards and ends blocked by boulders.
Beside the access crawlway and in the direction of the main fault, a new passage leads inwards and connects with the second orthogonal fault, this one of smaller dimensions than the previous one and, after some narrow descending passage, places us at the lowest point of the cavity.
The intermediate level of the cavity is 5 m above the level of the cave, just between the main fault and the second orthogonal fault; it is the widest area of the cavity. The upper level and second entrance of the cavity is 13 m above the lower cave, it is located above the main fault and as an access it has a small vertical opening between boulders, this gives access to the small sloping corridor that leads towards the 6 m vertical connecting shaft, this shaft likewise structured on the main fault has a connection with the exterior through an impenetrable squeeze.
Progressione
The intermediate level has clear evidence of having been adapted in the past, it has a stone retaining wall as a reinforcement and some old trunks that may have been used as access steps. This level is accessed from a vertical connecting shaft with the upper level, as well as a small connecting passage in the ceiling of the first lower orthogonal fault.
Storia
Locally it was known and used since ancient times.
In September 2019 Jordi Navarro and Montse Mañosa (Centre Excursionista Castellar) visited it and made the survey.
