Cau dels Horts de la Pedrosa

The pit is located in the golf de la Morisca, in Torroella de Montgrí, just in front of la Foradada.

From l'Estartit we will follow the camí de la Torre Ponça (this path is closed to vehicles during the summer). Before reaching the Torre Ponça we will turn right along a paved road until we reach a crossroads already on the plain; we will follow the road to the left until we reach the third turning on the right, this path leads to the cala Pedrosa and the Cala Ferriol, but if travelling by vehicle, it is better to ignore this path and follow the road 75 metres further on where we will follow the track on the right that heads towards l'Escala; after covering 1,300 metres, at this point we will turn right for 50 metres where we will link up with a track that we will follow to the right; after 400 metres we will reach a crossroads, where the path indicated before but not recommended for vehicles also leads. We will continue to the left until a crossroads where there is a little space to leave the vehicle. We will continue to the right along the path that descends in the direction of the Cala Pedrosa; straight away we will find on the left a faint trail that sets off levelling out, but soon turns right and descends steeply to overcome the drop in the terrain and continues again to the left until reaching the wall of the cliff; the trail continues descending following the base of the cliff, this passage becomes narrower and narrower until almost at the end it climbs a little to leave us at the mouth of the cavity just in front of la Foradada in the golf de la Morisca.
