BZ-5

To reach the cave BZ-5, take the NA-7182 road that crosses the Urbasa Park from Zudaire toward Olazagutía. At kilometer 30.9 of this road begins a paved track (Otsoportillo track), which is followed to kilometer 4.1. You come to a junction with an easily identifiable parking area, since another pit with a protective wall can be seen; if you do not have permission, the vehicle must be left parked here. Continue along the gravel track (Etxarriko Sareetako Bidea) in the direction of the hermitages of SANTA MARINA and San Adrián. You must walk 1.6 km until you find a fork to the left that must be taken (Santa Marinako Pista). You go down and up through some zig-zags until you find some bordas on the right-hand side (Majadas de Iturmendi), a few hundred meters before reaching the hermitage of SANTA MARINA. You will have covered 1.4 kilometers more to the bordas, where you can park. You walk about 990 meters in a N-NE direction, without entering the wooded area, and remain beside the escarpment that overlooks the Sakana valley, where the fallen menhir of Oineta UTM ED-50 573.349 - 4.747.400 - 1075 can be seen. From here the direction changes 108º toward the east, you enter the beech forest for about 780 meters and come upon a large doline. The cave is located a few meters from the doline and on its east side. Taking pit BZ-1 as a reference, this cave lies 44 m from the pit and situated in a direction 74º east.
