Caratteristiche

Località

When we enter Gósol coming from Saldes we find a roundabout, we will take the second exit in the direction of the campsite and the cemetery; once past these, the track makes a 180º turn and a little further on we find a fork, we will follow the right-hand one; after 150 metres we find a new fork and again we will follow the right-hand one; we will not leave this track until we reach the coll de Mola; here we will leave the main track that heads to Tuixén and follow the track (4x4 vehicles) that initially sets off in a S direction; after a distance of approximately 4.3 kilometres, we will arrive at a valley where we will again turn off towards the S; from here, more than a track these are wheel ruts, which we will follow for 1350 metres, where we will find on the right the path that climbs to the cap del Verd; we will follow the valley in a S direction, which in about 250 metres will bring us to the coll dels Belitres; we will continue towards the S along the torrent de la Borda (torrent de la Grallera on the old maps of the ed.Alpina) which we will follow on the left, where we will find the cavity about 250 metres further down; the entrance forms a large window in the wall. Descrizione

Morfologia

The 3x7 metre entrance opens in the wall in the form of a large window, which gives access to a pit with a N-S orientation; at -28 metres we find a ramp 12 metres long with a 50º inclination; at the end of this and after a drop of about 3 metres a short ramp leads us to the final vertical of –16 metres; the total depth is -62 metres.

Altri dettagli

Along the pit we find on the walls a carpet of chough excrement, finding at the base of the pit a mound of this material a couple of metres high.

Storia

The first partial exploration was carried out on 20 March 1964 by 3 members of the S.E.C.E.S. of the C E Sabadell and on 22 and 23 July various members of the same club completed the exploration, which was accompanied by a hundred choughs that nest in the cavity. There is news that between these two dates, the unfortunate Josep Subils together with other companions also partially explored it.
