It is located in the upper part of the torrent del Tripot, at the point where a small rocky front crosses the torrent and half hidden by the abundant vegetation.

We do not know the exact location of the torrent del Tripot; it could also be a popular name for the area, perhaps for the torrent del Greixot, which is none other than the lower part of the riu de Cerdanyola, which also changes its name before reaching Sant Julià de Cerdanyola, where it is called torrent de la Font del Castell.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Balma 3X10 metres with a completely flat floor covered in clay, the height of the ceiling never exceeds 3 metres at any point; on the W side, there is a second, smaller balma.

Storia

Cavity explored by the SEO of the CE Vallirana during the nineties of the last century.

En Faura (1909) mentions the cova dels Greixots and some others in Sant Julià de Cerdanyola; we do not know whether it is this specific cavity, but they could be any of those later catalogued in this small municipality.
