Località

The rock shelter is located in the Fou area, in Sant Martí de Tous (Anoia).

From the village of Sant Martí de Tous we will continue along carrer de la Fou to the edge of the village, cross the bridge over the riera de Tous, continue, always, along the main track heading SW, pass several turn-offs, pass by the tower of l’Aubereda, here we will take a fork to the right continuing until the track crosses the stream, here we will leave the car, continue along a small path that will lead us to a viewpoint where the saltant de la Fou can be seen.

From here a small trail descends to the bottom of the torrent where we will come across the balmes de la Fou and the cova del Diable.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The rock shelter has maximum dimensions of 13 metres wide by 5 deep and 4.50 metres high.

Progressione

We will descend along the path until reaching the torrent bed, cross it and the first cave we will come across will be the cova del Diable. Continuing upstream, at the foot of the Saltant de la Fou is the large balma de la Fou. A few metres to the west, surrounded by vegetation, is this smaller one.

Storia

Known since time immemorial.
