Balma de Guilanyà

Known since ancient times. In 1992, on the occasion of the repair of the track, various archaeological remains were exposed. From the six campaigns that have been carried out there, it follows that the site was occupied during the Upper Paleolithic and the Mesolithic. Among the finds, lithic and faunal samples were recovered, as well as remains of combustion and various bone fragments attributed to at least four individuals of anatomically modern Homo Sapiens. This deposit is considered to be a settlement that groups of hunter-gatherers used seasonally in the course of their annual movements through the territory.
