Descrizione
Morfologia
It is a large rock shelter 25 metres wide and 11 metres high with a base with a steep slope and full of large rock blocks. It is located on the shady side and a lot of vegetation grows easily. Halfway up the wall, towards the S side, there is a small hole that is difficult to access.
Progressione
To reach it, you must first go to the balma de l'Escala and from there follow along the side of the cliff, without losing sight of the rock shelter, and go down through the middle of the forest until you find it. It is a difficult task because there is no path or trail; you have to open your way and keep choosing the most suitable place to pass until you reach it.
Storia
Before the dam was built, the cows went to the rock shelter because in summer it is very cool, which is where its name comes from.
