Caratteristiche

Località

We leave from Campgràs and follow the path of the puig la Morella (GR-92). We reach the col (to the SW of the summit) and continue down the track almost as far as the pla del Bruc.

From the col the track descends fairly straight; after about 400 metres it makes a sudden turn to the left and then one to the right, heading straight for the corral del Bruc. We follow a more or less straight stretch, leaving the ruins of a hut on the right until another bend to the right. The track levels out, making a wide turn to the left followed by another to the right; the track continues straight until reaching a junction.

About 30 metres before this junction, on the left we find a wooden pole of the old low-voltage line; standing at the base of the pole, we continue in direction S10E for 35 metres, where we find the mouth of the cavity in a limestone outcrop at the beginning of a small flat area with abundant decalcification clay.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Pit of just over 5 metres deep at the head of the Fondo del Bruc (Garraf).

Storia

The first exploration was carried out in 1967 by the GES del CM Barcelonès. Joan Borràs (GES) returned in May 1972 to make the survey.

From then on the cavity remained obstructed; we do not know who, when or why this obstruction occurred, but it is a real fact.

On 13 December 2012, the cavity was located by the so-called “grup dels dijous”. On 4 January 2013, members of the SES del GER de Sant Pere de Ribes cleared it and surveyed it, naming it avenc de la Somera, convinced that it was an unpublished cavity. From then on members of different groups, ECG, GEB, ERE, tried to establish the exact location of the avenc del Raspós Petit in relation to the avenc de la Somera; and from the known data on their locations, they all reached the same conclusion, that it is the same pit.
