Descrizione
Morfologia
It is a fissure that forms a single gallery 22 metres long, with three openings in the ceiling that connect it with the outside, only the central entrance (4 x 1 m) being passable, divided in two by an embedded block. After descending the 4 metres of vertical drop one reaches the middle point of the gallery; towards the NW, after a small step, it widens to emerge at the ravine through a wide portal. In the opposite direction the gallery becomes narrower and 3 metres from the end there is a side shaft of 6 metres.
Storia
During the month of October 1968, members of the SIE – CEA explored a whole series of fissures located near the gate of the Talarn reservoir, naming them Cova-avenc de la Comporta no. 1, 2 and 3. Very close to these they also mention a series of pits (Avenc Estret, Avenc molt Estret, Avenc de l'Escletxa and Avenc del Puny), estimating that they have a depth of about 10 metres. One of these must certainly be the one now catalogued as Avenc dels Nerets. These explorations only appear in a list of activities of the SIE from the year 1968 (EspeleoSie no. 6) and nothing more was ever heard of them.
Around the year 1979, members of the GES – CMB, during the research work for the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya, rediscovered the cavities, surveyed them and decided to name them with the place name of the area, els Nerets.
