Caratteristiche

Località

On the TV-3223 road from Pradell de la Teixeta to la Torre de Fontaubella, at approximately kilometre 3, and at the start of some sharp bends shortly before the railway station, there is a path that leaves from its left side and heads towards the Puig mountain. It must be followed for about 100 metres and left to cross through the middle of a hazelnut grove, until reaching the forest, where there is a small trail that reaches the cavity, (data from 1981).

Coordinates with no reliability at all, they are only indicative with respect to the area where the cavity would be located.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The pit begins with a shaft of -7 metres that leads into a small chamber totally occupied by blocks. From its base two crawls emerge that lead to small chambers of elongated section, stony and with a concretioned ceiling; in one of these, the largest, there is the narrow entrance of a new shaft of -12 metres, where the cavity ends. The terminal shaft is narrow and of elongated section.

Concrezioni

Small chambers with a concretioned ceiling.

Storia

Explored in the late 50s of the last century by CE Puigmal, they met Mr. Perfecto Cabré in the village bar, who accompanied them to the cavity, since it seems that it was within the limits of his land. Of this find, however, I have not found any documentation, and it is not until 1981 that it is made known when it was explored and surveyed by speleologists from Reus.
