From what can be seen in the ICGC orthophotos, the entrance must have opened through ground collapse, around 2010 or 2011; we have learned that it had been located by Manel Trepat when he was serving as a Forest Ranger in the region, but he had not gone down it and had not publicised it. It was not until the end of May 2024 that Salvador Codina, during a traverse through the area, saw the hole and reported it to Josep Guarro, who, accompanied by Jordi Perera and Joan Carles Juderias, approached it on 2 June 2024 and explored it, confirming that the hole has no continuation beyond the small 4m entrance shaft.
