Località

Going along the BV-2411 road from Begues towards Olesa de Bonesvalls, about 100 metres after km 15, on the right, there is an esplanade where the car can be left. From here one must climb in a N direction towards the hill that can be seen from the road. Shortly before reaching the very top and on the SE slope is the cavity.

In the last twenty years the expansion of the CIARIES quarry (Olesa) has meant that the extraction area has come very close to the area of the pit, having eaten away the few ruins that remained of the nearby corral del Coscó.

Morfologia

The entrance, oval in shape and 3 x 1.5 metres in dimensions, gives way to a shaft 7 metres deep. At its base and after a short ramp, one enters a new shaft, the roof of which reaches the surface again, although it remains obstructed by blocks. At its bottom it is closed at the point of maximum depth.

Storia

Discovered in December 1967 by JM. Miñarro during a prospection of the area and making a partial visit. With other members of the SIE he returned in April 1973, carrying out the complete exploration and survey.
