Caratteristiche

Località

From the road closed to traffic that leads to the Campgràs doline, once we have reached it, we will continue in the direction of the Vall de Joan (landfill), skirting the flat area of the doline; we will soon find on the left of the path a large block of stone split by the effect of expansive cement. Just in front of the block and on the other side of the path begins a small path that leads to a nearby doline where there is a fairly large solitary pine tree (data from 2009). We will cross this doline and follow the small path in a south-easterly direction, where we will soon find the mouth of the cavity, marked with a large wooden stake placed by the staff of the Parc del Garraf.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The 1.2x0.7 mouth gives access to a cylindrical shaft 0.8 metres in diameter and 4.7 metres deep, followed by another of 8 metres which widens towards the base. A new shaft of eleven metres with a bell shape places us on a level with an inclination towards the north of 7.5x4 metres. The next shaft has its entrance half obstructed by a block, through which we will reach a window above P-4 (this is not the usual route for exploration). We continue descending between some small drops, heading towards the “sala del 40”; on the floor of this level there are various entrances to lower conduits without continuity (in section K-J it is possible to descend 14 metres).

From point G of this level we will reach the level situated at -50 metres, and through the two openings together found on the left of the ramp as one descends, it connects directly with the shaft that ends at the -71 metres mark. From point I, which is the normal route, one descends a 7-metre drop and enters laterally into P-4, standing at the base situated at -61 metres. The group of shafts 3-4 and 5 is what is called Pou del 40.

Following the normal way, at -61 metres we find a wide 10-metre shaft where on one side of its base at -71 metres and 8x4 metres, among others, we find the access to a new shaft; this divides into two and at the base of both, among blocks, the maximum depth of -95 metres is reached.

Storia

It was located on 23 March 1969 by Josep Digón of the SIRE of the UEC de Collblanc and by Benjamí Grañena of the SES of the CE Puigmal. Later during that same year and the following one, the SIE of the CEA extended the exploration and carried out the survey.
