From the road from Lekunberri to Uitzi, 500 metres before Uitzi, a cement track leaves on the left. Go up the track and, after a sharp right-hand bend, another track leaves on the left and descends to some bordas. You can leave the vehicle at that point or continue along it on a dirt track that climbs to the right, just before the bordas. Reach the Campa de Urbiñete, where there is an enclosure on the right as you go up. From that point, advance about 300 metres in a southwesterly direction until reaching a col between Mount Atume to the northwest and Irumugarrieta to the southwest. From the col you can see the southwest face of Mount Atume, steep and furrowed by several spurs. On the third spur, at approximately the same height as the col and about 250 metres from it, is the pit.
