On the road from Lekunberri to Uitzi, 500 metres before Uitzi, a cement track branches off to the left. Go up the track and, after a sharp right-hand bend, another track branches off to the left and descends to some bordas. You can leave the vehicle at that point or continue along it on a dirt track that climbs to the right, just before the bordas. Reach the Campa de Urbiñete, where there is an enclosure on the right as you go up. From that point, in a westerly direction, the summit of Mount Atume can be seen. Ascend that mount and begin to descend following the crest in a north-westerly direction; at approximately 200 metres there is another summit. From that summit, descend about 20 metres down the south-west slope until reaching the mouth of the pit.
