On the road from Lekumberri to Uitzi, 500 meters before Uitzi, a cement track branches off to the left. We go up the track and, after a sharp right-hand bend, another track branches off to the left and descends to some bordas. We can leave the car here or continue along a dirt track that climbs to our right, just before the bordas. We reach the "Campa de Urbiñete", where there is an enclosure to our right as we go up. From here, looking West, we can see the summit of Mount Atume. On the southeast slope of this mountain, about 30 meters from the summit, is the entrance to the pit.
