Caratteristiche

Località

Taking the Unanuko Putzua sinkhole as a reference point, head towards Albi. At the height of Mount Ataiorbe, head North along the horseshoe-shaped path that leads to the Errazkin, Gaintza, etc. cliffs. Along this path there are a series of dolines, and one of them has some sheepfolds, and it is in this same doline that the pit is found.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The pit, of small dimensions, opens in an East-West direction. It has a single 13-metre shaft and is a fracture parallel to the doline, so it appears to be due to a detachment of the limestone block. The walls are little eroded although very fractured.

Altri dettagli

At the bottom, total infilling of the same can be observed, along with the occasional piece of organic detritus (animal remains) fallen into the pit.
