Argaineta V

The entrance opens in an East-West direction and is a radial fracture to the doline, of considerable dimensions. A small descending ramp with a steep slope gives way to a single 60-metre shaft. The shaft also gives way to a debris cone, and at the bottom of the pit there is a chamber completely filled by small blocks from the ceiling and from outside the pit. The depth of the pit reaches 59 metres.

There are some drips in the western area of the chamber, possibly due to rainfall outside during the prospection. In a bend of the chamber there is a small meander that may be an inflow from outside.

Contamination inside the pit is non-existent apart from several bone remains. As a notable point, we believe it is important to report the considerable contamination existing in the doline in which the pit is located.
