Description

Morphology

On the surface a small stream disappears among blocks, and between them it is possible to descend about 10 metres (the blocks are very unstable). A horizontal constriction of 2 metres leads into another narrow vertical conduit which is followed by a shaft of about 15 metres with its base occupied by a debris cone. At approximately 2 metres from the start of this shaft, a window allows passage to a second shaft, narrow and muddy, of approximately 7 metres.

Hydrology

On the surface a small stream disappears among blocks.

Other details

No survey exists.

History

Explored in August 1973 by members of the Franco-Belgian expedition in the Liat area. It had been located some years earlier by one of them, Bernard Magos. They marked it as T-3.

In the report of this expedition mention is made of more cavities, from T-5 (Trou de la Chasse) to T-15 (Trou de Dernier Jour), which we have decided not to catalogue since, apart from the little information they give, practically all of them are dolines plugged by blocks and mud. Only the one marked as T-15 seems to have allowed them to explore a sloping gallery of fairly regular dimensions, but they give no indication of its location.
