Description

Morphology

The entrance lies in a small doline half hidden among the trees. Past the entrance crawl, one reaches a boulder chamber, among which one can descend a few metres until it becomes impassable. Returning to the boulder chamber, one can advance towards the NE, passing another passage, and reach a 7 m pitch, by which one can access some lower galleries, also filled with unstable boulders, by which the maximum depth of the cavity is reached at -14 m.

Progression

To enter it, a dig was necessary. Past the entrance crawl, one reaches a boulder chamber. Returning to the boulder chamber, one can advance towards the NE, passing another passage where a dig was necessary, and reach a 7 m pitch, by which one can access some lower galleries, also filled with unstable boulders, by which the maximum depth of the cavity is reached at -14 m.

History

It was located, like the Forat Gran de Prat Sobirà, on 23 August 2024 by Joan Carles Juderias and Josep Guarro while prospecting points observed with LIDAR cartography. That day it was not possible to enter as the entrance needed digging. Three days later, on 26 August, Benjamí Granyena, Jordi Francès and Josep Guarro returned, dug open the entrance and carried out the exploration and survey.
