Forat Negre

The cavity has two entrances: the South one, small and half hidden by vegetation (only 1 metre high), and the North one, more than 2 metres high, located below the overhang. These two entrances give access to generally narrow galleries, except for the first 10 metres of passage when entering through the north entrance, and they join at a point located 10 metres from the south entrance, which for the moment is not passable, being occupied by calcium carbonate sediments not fully cleared. The galleries are straight and follow two clear orientations, which almost coincide with N-S and E-W, the joints intersecting at right angles.

To reach the N entrance of the cave it is necessary to descend the cliff with a rope, abseiling about 20 metres with a small pendulum. In 1976 there were 3 spits for the rigging. To reach the other entrance a sling is needed to use as a handrail.
