Coves de Santa Maria

Petites coves prop de l'església de Santa Maria de Cervelló.

Cervelló • Baix Llobregat6m4m

Two small caves opened in red conglomerates near the church of Santa Maria de Cervelló, with signs of having been modified to make a dwelling and used by hermits.

Characteristics

Location

From Cervelló, follow Carrer Joaquim Mensa, continue along Carrer dels Vidriers, which passes under the B-24 road, and follow the BV-2007 road to the Creu de Santa Maria; about 80 metres before reaching it, however, you must turn right and start climbing. After the first bend, on the left we find a pedestrian passage that will lead to the church of Santa Maria.

Once we leave the façade of the church behind us, we continue west along the cliff and will find the two caves located one on each side of the path that crosses the mountainside.
