Description

Morphology

More than a cave, it is a rock shelter, of the taffoni type, so frequent in the Triassic sandstones and conglomerates at the base of the Garraf. It is almost 7 m wide, 3 m high and penetrates just over 3 m.

Other details

The sandstones show a curious stratification formed by different minerals during their formation and which later became wavy lines when they underwent slight folding.

For a long time the cavity has suffered deterioration due to incivility which, taking advantage of its situation, uses it as a rubbish dump and its walls are covered with graffitis.

History

Cavity unpublished in speleological catalogues.
