Description

Morphology

The cave entrance measures 0.40x1 metres and is located on a small ledge on the cliff where just two people fit. Just inside we find a small step that gives way to a 5-metre-long passage, with the height varying between 0.70 and 1 metre. The gallery ends suddenly, with a hole at floor level on the left side that allows us to observe a gallery parallel to ours, which for the moment appears impassable due to the sediments.

Progression

To reach it, a short rappel of about five metres is necessary.

Other details

Very probably this cave is connected to the cova de la Torre Negra, since it is practically touching it.

History

Although it seems to have been known and visited since the 60s, the first reference to the cavity is provided by Xavier Badiella and Montserrat Balasch of the SIS del CET, who explored it on 13 November 1988.
