Description
Morphology
Spectacular rock shelter that pierces the crest. Dry stone borders the rock shelter in a zigzag, allowing comfortable access from one part of the ridge to the other.
Progression
It was formerly arranged as a key passage for access to the valley. Dry stone borders the rock shelter in a zigzag, allowing comfortable access from one part of the ridge to the other. No survey is available, so the speleometric data are approximate.
History
Known since ancient times as la Lluminosa to distinguish it from the relatively nearby cave which, being a closed gallery, is known as la Llòbrega. Cited by Faura in his Recull (1909) and by Ferraté in Espeleologia de les comarques tarragonines (1918), although neither gives more data than the name. We know of no specific cataloguing work, although it is very well known among hikers.
