Location

To reach the cova dels Matxos, as with the cova Maginya, you must leave the village of Vilaplana along the track that climbs through the Garrigots; follow the track and always take the branches to the right until you reach a flat area where the track makes a very sharp bend to the right; here you will branch off along a small path that climbs straight up towards the cliff face.

Climb up to where the path forks; the right-hand one will lead you to the cova dels Matxos in just a few metres.
