Cave with a 25-metre route in the les Deus area, Sant Quintí de Mediona. Known since time immemorial.

Characteristics

Location

From Sant Quintí de Mediona, we will take the passeig de les Deus to the end, at the gates of the Parc d'Oci de les Deus. We will continue on foot alongside the fence in a N direction. At the end we will cross the riera de Sant Quintí. From here we will follow a path in a NW direction that after 100 m turns towards the SW. Once past the torrent de Can Llopard the path forks and we must take the left-hand branch, which descends to the torrent bed, where we will find the cave easily.

If the Parc d'Oci is open, the best access is to enter it and go as far as the lake. On the other side of the lake we will continue to the left and soon we will see a path that climbs up the torrent de Can Llopard, passing through a canyar, until reaching the cave mouth.

Description

Morphology

A mouth 3.5 metres wide by 3 metres high gives way to a gallery with a 10-metre route, on a gentle upward slope. Halfway along the gallery there is an inaccessible chimney 6 metres high. At the end of the gallery a short climb takes us to the final section, with a 3-metre route and 1 metre of height that leads to an impenetrable crawlway that continues for a couple of metres. At the start of this last section there is a chimney by which we can easily climb up to +8 metres relative to the mouth.

About 2 metres from the mouth we find, on the right, a short ramp that takes us to a short widening.

Other details
