Characteristics

Location

Access can be gained from the track that begins at the Vall de Camprodon campsite (before reaching Camprodon), passes below the hamlet of Creixenturri and climbs up to the coll del Sitjar. We will continue towards the E, in the direction of the Pas del Llop, the Coll de la Bau, the collet d'Arrancafels, we will pass close to the summit of Puig Ou, Collsalgar, the Portell de les Roques and les Colladiques, before reaching the mas de Resclusanys we will turn right. Following the same track we will head to the Pla del Talló passing through the large meadows on its N face, once past the meadows, still following the track, we must reach a small limestone wall that will be on our right (South), once past this small wall, we will climb up the small ridge and we must find a small path marked with cairns; on the left we will already see a limestone wall facing S, following this wall among boxwoods, we will reach a small bauma, and once past this we will already find the cave.

Description

Morphology

The 1.85x1.25 metre entrance, in the shape of a rectangular triangle, gives access by means of a descending ramp to a perpendicular gallery of good dimensions, with a slight inclination towards the SE; on the NW side the gallery decreases considerably in size until it becomes impracticable. The total passage is 29 metres.

History

Cavity that is catalogued for the first time on the map of the Ed. Alpina of 1973. It had been explored in those times by Jaume Puigmal and companions of the Grup Espeleològic d'Olot. In February 1976 it is visited by Oleguer Escolà (ERE - CEC) on a biospeleological research outing.

In the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (1978), it appears catalogued with the approximate location and description of the cavity; while in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (2009), with the same data as in the previous one, it appears erroneously located in the municipality of la Vall d'en Bas, since the cavity is in the Vall de Bianya.

Nil Hosta Ferrer and Tanit Sanmartin relocate it again in October 2025.
