Cova de la Tortuga

The cave is located near la Foradada del Montsià. From Sant Carles de la Ràpita one must go to the Cocó de Jordi, where there is an area to leave the car. From here one must take the route, always hard, that climbs to la Foradada del Montsià. From this point, and to the left of the summit, from the small esplanade at the top of the hole, a path sets off that goes around the great rock mass that forms the summit and descends towards the nearby Palleret. Before reaching it, we notice a distinctive rock point that looks like the head of a tortoise, which remains above us to the right and where we can climb up by a narrow path. From the same rock and looking towards la Foradada we see the small cova de la Tortuga sheltered at the foot of a small crag, a few metres from where we are.
