Characteristics

Location

The cave is located in the barranc de Cova Roja, in la Sénia (Montsià).

From la Sénia one must go to the pantà d'Ulldecona (la Pobla de Benifassà, Baix Maestrat, País Valencià) and from there continue to the large rock shelter of the Cova del Ferrins, where the car can be left. On the right begins the path that goes toward the Pont Foradat and, once it crosses the dividing line with Catalonia, it goes toward the Portella de Malladeta and continues winding around the Mola Aixada in the direction of the head of the barranc de Cova Roja. At the foot of the cliff is the cave.

Description

Morphology

Small cave with its entrance partially closed by a dry-stone wall. Everything seems to indicate that it is a rock shelter of little importance.

Other details

We do not know the characteristics of the cavity and obviously we do not have any survey.

History

Certainly known since remote times.
