Description
Morphology
It is a small cave, in which practically almost no light is needed, it measures 7.5X10 metres, rounded in shape, low and flat, since the height of the cavity does not exceed eighty centimetres; for this reason we will have to explore it on all fours and stretched out.
Speleothems
In the deep part, water filtrations enter and small stalactites and stalagmites form with some small column.
Hydrology
We will find the font inside a hole with a grate in front, and next to a conglomerate rock. It is a pool font, but it can dry up. Currently it is dry. They say that formerly there was a pine tree above, and that from when they cut it, little water comes out.
Progression
To get there we will start from Solsona along the LV-4241b road to km 17.5 where we will park next to the Hostal del Vent. We will descend on foot along the long-distance trail GR-7, following the red and white paint marks, which we will keep finding until the collada d'Encies. About 100 metres approximately, before reaching the collada, we will turn right along a path full of boxwoods, in an easterly direction, all the while levelling out.
Other details
The ground is full of pebbles over a layer of earth and lime.
History
The only data we know about the cavity are those provided by Salvador Codina, who explored it in 2005.
