Small cave with a 28 m passage in the Vallmajor ravine (Albinyana), with an ascending gallery and a step leading to a lower gallery.

Characteristics

Location

The cavity is located in the Vallmajor ravine, in Albinyana. Following the torrent d'en Toni or de Vallmajor and once past the spring of the same name, a small path climbs up the left slope until reaching a small col; from here one continues at the same height to a cliff, and at the foot of this the cavity is found. The coordinates and the location are of very little precision.

Description

Morphology

Through different openings one enters a relatively wide gallery with an ascending direction; almost in the very middle of it, a step opens that leads through another lower gallery beneath the entrance mouth.

History

The only reference we have is the data provided by Josep Castell (ERE-CEC) and his colleagues from Vilanova i la Geltrú that appear in the second volume of the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (1978). The exploration and survey must have been carried out around the mid-1970s.
