Characteristics

Location

A little over a hundred metres before reaching the Camarasa power station we find a path on the right of the road (currently closed to traffic, 2009). We follow this path, which leads us to a climbing area, where we must pass some equipped handrails. On reaching the end we must descend a step to continue along the path to the cave.

Description

Morphology

It is a large entrance 22 metres high and one and a half metres wide, except for its central part, which reaches 3.5 metres. Once past this step we find that the gallery ends after 10 metres; on the left we find a joint with the same height as the main gallery, which ends after 5 metres of passage.

Progression

To access it, fixed iron bars have been installed, since a height of 12 metres must be overcome.

History

It seems that the GELL was there on 12 March 1967, although we do not know whether they actually explored it, since the 50 metres they attribute to it seem somewhat exaggerated. The cave is quite well known among climbers, as it lies in the middle of a multitude of climbing routes.
