Cova d'en Benet

A wide 17 x 10 metre entrance, half closed by a dry stone wall, which gives access to a gallery 35 metres long. Almost at the back is the intersection of a perpendicular gallery. To the left it soon becomes impenetrable, but to the right, once a 2 metre upward step has been passed, you enter a conduit on an upward slope (of up to 40º) with the floor covered in blocks. The whole gallery is quite narrow, with some sections with blocks wedged between the two walls. In the final section it ends in a small chamber at + 21 metres above the entrance level.

The whole cavity develops along an inclined bedding joint between the Oligocene conglomerates, which have at their base a package of Jurassic limestones.
