Tiny rock shelter in Prullans, visible from the Puigcerdà to la Seu d'Urgell road, near Sant Martí dels Castells.

Characteristics

Location

The rock shelter is visible from the Puigcerdà to la Seu d'Urgell road, just as you pass Sant Martí dels Castells, on a stretch of the old road before the tunnel.

Following the abandoned stretch of road, when it turns 90º to the left we climb up a very steep torrent for about 30m and on reaching some rocky spurs, we will skirt along the right until we reach some marly and reddish limestones where we will find the cavity.

Description

Morphology

Entrance of 2x1.5m between two strata and a passage that rapidly decreases in size and at barely 3m ends among blocks.

History

Unpublished rock shelter visited by members of Espeleodijous in early July 2024. According to them, they document it to save anyone who might see it from the road the steep climb for such a tiny cavity.
