Caverne de la Baume de l'Éboulis des Signoles - Entrée Principale

The cavity has four interconnected entrances, which are not visible from the motorway.

• An entrance called the "upper" one (the "Puits", or shaft) drops vertically for 10 metres into the small chamber.
• An entrance called the "main" one (the "Caverne") opens onto a 2-metre step directly into the small chamber; beneath the same small step, a gallery (crawling for 5 metres) develops in a south-west direction, gradually widening; after 10 metres it crosses the 3rd entrance in the ceiling (see below the "Trou"); this gallery measures 30 metres in total and ends at the fourth entrance (see below "the Grotte").
• An entrance called the "intermediate" one (the "Trou") descends through the ceiling of the gallery issuing from the main cavern (see above the "Caverne").
• An entrance called the "lower" one (the "Grotte") forms the end of the gallery of the main cavern (see above the "Caverne") and opens onto a balcony overlooking the motorway.
