Location

We will set out from the village of Vallbona d'Anoia heading SE, descend to the Anoia river, pass by the pont de la Fou, here we will leave the car to continue along the left bank, and soon we will find a cliff face where the rock shelter and the upper spring open.

Description

Morphology

The rock shelter is located a few metres from the riverbed. Its dimensions are 4 m deep by 9 m long. The spring emerges from a rock shelter found, vertically, about 10 m above, with dimensions of 17 m in length by 7 m deep and a maximum height of 4 m.

Hydrology

In this rock shelter the waterfall of the true font del Figuerot precipitates, which is a spring. The rock shelter occasionally receives flooding during major rises.
