Location

If we go from Olost to Gironella along the C-62 road, shortly after passing the turn-off towards Prat de Lluçanès, at km 17.44, we will find on the right a track (it is signposted with the sign for the Font de les Coves) which we will follow, leaving on the left the track that leads from the Font de les Coves. The track continues parallel to the road and we will follow it as far as the bridge that crosses it, where we will leave the car. From here we will go down in a NE direction, now without a path, looking for the start of the stream that rises at the font Guillera (on the ICGC map: Font Grillera), which is located just below the electricity line. From the spring we must continue in a N direction, without losing height, and we will find the rock shelter after 75 metres.

The municipal boundary (Lluçà and Prats de Lluçanès) passes through the very middle of the rock shelter.

Description

Morphology

It is a long rock shelter 58 metres long, practically straight in a N-S direction, with an average width of about 2 metres, except for the central part, where it reaches 6 metres. Most of it has a height of between 1 and 2 metres.
