Characteristics

Location

On the N-340, once past the font del Lledoner, at the place known as the Pont dels Tres Arcs, we find a track on the right that after 150 metres places us in front of a lime kiln. From the left-hand part of this a track emerges which we follow for about twenty metres to turn off to the right along an uphill path that after 85 metres comes out onto a wider path. We follow this to the left for some 40 metres and turn off to the right along a path that curves to the right until after 75 metres it joins a wider one heading towards the Cova de Coll Verdeguer. We follow it to the right for 35 metres, at which point the path makes a marked turn to the left; we must leave the path and continue straight for some 10 metres to find the cavity on the left.

Description

Morphology

From the upper part it presents a shaft of about 7.5 metres, but it can be accessed from the lower part through a kind of trench obstructed by a large pine in the middle and which, passing under a rock bridge, leads us into the base of the shaft.

Progression

From the upper part it presents a shaft of about 7.5 metres, but it can be accessed from the lower part through a kind of trench obstructed by a large pine in the middle and which, passing under a rock bridge, leads us into the base of the shaft.

History

Known since ancient times and used as a sparry calcite working, it is already cited by N. Llopis in an article published in 1941.

Both in the Catàleg Espeleològic del Massís de l'Ordal (2004) and in the Catàleg Espeleològic de Catalunya (vol.6-2017), the cavity is wrongly cited as disappeared.
