Small 15 m deep pit in Begues, with a 3 m vertical conduit and a 12 m shaft.

Location

From Can Puigmoltó, on the track from Begues to La Plana Novella, take the path that descends to the ravine and continue as if heading to the avenc de Sant Roc. About 180 m after starting the ascent along this ravine, climb its left slope (on the right according to the direction of travel) for about 10 metres to find the small entrance of the pit.

Description

Morphology

It begins with a narrow vertical conduit with a 3 metre drop which, at its bottom, communicates laterally with the entrance of a 12 metre shaft, slightly bell-shaped and of regular dimensions, at the bottom of which the cavity ends.

History

We do not know who made the first exploration or in what year. The only reference we have is that given by members of the SIE-CEA who in March 1986 observed some white paint marks and, following them, located the cavity and two others very close by. Its name was painted at one of the entrances.
