Characteristics

Location

From the Can Verdaguer urbanisation, located to the ESE of Mediona, we will ascend along Camí de la Miranda street towards the small summit of the Talaia; a little before reaching the summit itself we will take the Clivelleres path that branches off to the right. The uphill path leaves the urbanisation on a steep paved ramp followed by a left-hand bend.

From the bend an uphill path begins through the forest in a SW direction; we will arrive in front of a small crag and follow its base in a NW direction, descending a 170 m stretch.

The pit is about 30 m in front of the crag, in a wooded area between the main trench of the crag and another secondary one to the E of the main one.

Description

Morphology

Small pit 5 m deep. The entrance has some large blocks that partly obstruct the passage, but they help make it possible to descend easily to the base of the diaclase; once here there are two possible continuations.

Progression

In a NW direction the gallery continues for a few metres until we find an obstruction of blocks.

In a SW direction the gallery continues beneath the entrance blocks and descends through a narrow fissure, at the end of which horizontal progression is limited by the narrowness and a new drop allows descent to the lower and final part of the cavity.

History

Unpublished cavity.
