Description

Morphology

The entrance opens beside one of the legs of the electricity tower. After passing a 3-metre drop we connect with a 39-metre shaft that places us on a short, steep ramp followed by an 8-metre shaft.

Speleothems

2 metres from the base of the 8-metre shaft there is a crawlway that connects with a horizontal gallery. In the Via Concrecionada, the lithogenic process takes on greater importance.

Progression

From the upper part of the horizontal gallery we reach the first climb, the Via dels Ossos, where we find an E-6, E-4, E-6, E-3 and E-18, some of them connected by narrow passages and beautifully decorated chambers. At the far end and through the lower zones we reach the Blocs, a route that is climbed but of less importance than the previous one, and as its name indicates it is formed by an agglomeration of large blocks, some of them in a state of equilibrium; the route consists of an E-6, E-7 and E-10. Parallel to the aforementioned horizontal gallery, another one with similar characteristics opens up, accessible by means of a squeeze in the wall: this is the Via Concrecionada, which consists of an E-7 and an extensive and wide E-21.

History

Discovered in 1982 during the concreting works of the electricity tower of the FECSA company, the vertical network was explored by the SIEP of the CE Poblet. The electricity company covered the cavity again and between 1989 and 1991 it was explored by a group of speleologists from the SIES of Esplugues, the ACE of Mataró and GIRES of Sant Esteve de Sesrovires.
