Description

Morphology

Once past the entrance excavated for the first 2 metres in the Clay by digging out, you enter a 13-metre pit. At one end of its base it connects with a new vertical, this one 27 metres, and at its bottom, through a narrow joint, you reach a third pit, 16 metres. Its base has two openings; through one of them you enter a 36-metre pit that has no continuation; through the other, the pit has a 43-metre vertical with a ledge at 28 metres. At its bottom, a narrow passage gives access to a small 7-metre pit and a short meander with a final drop where the passage becomes impracticable.

History

Discovered by members of the ERE – AEC after a hard dig-out in a small hole located on 4 September 1982. Not finished, on 23 November of the same year, members of the ACE de Mataró complete the dig-out and carry out the first exploration.

The ERE – AEC published a first survey that assigned it 111 metres of depth.

The following year, the EC Gràcia revisits the cavity and makes a new survey (without plans and without orientation) that sets the maximum depth at 109 metres. The same year, however, a team from the SIE – CEA carries out another survey and again sets the depth given in the first instance.
