Characteristics

Location

From the N-240 road at Vimbodí, we will first turn off onto the TV-7004 road as far as the Coll d'en Franc, from where we will continue along the TV-7003 road, just past the mas del Carreres, and at kilometre 2.675 we will turn right onto a track heading to the mas de Dalt. After covering 420 metres, we will turn left onto a track that we will follow for 125 metres until we find a power line; from this point, the slope must be climbed up in a S direction to the approximate elevation of 600 metres, where we should find the cavity.

Coordinates not very precise, to be reviewed.

Description

Morphology

It consists of a single artificial shaft, which intersects a descending ramp that reaches the elevation of -16 metres, giving way to a gallery with a 32-metre route until it becomes completely blocked. The morphology of the gallery is that of an incision, offering very localised reconstructions. The floor is made up of reddish-coloured clayey stratigraphic sediments.

Speleothems

The gallery offers very localised reconstructions.

Hydrology

In periods of high rainfall the gallery becomes partially flooded.

History

The only data we know of are from the explorations carried out by the GE Pedraforca between 1971 and 1974.
