Description
Morphology
The first pit has a vertical drop of 25 metres. The pit continues down a steep slope. At the end of the ramp (elevation -95) there is a pit of about 10 metres that leads to the final section of the cavity, occupied by rubble.
Progression
The first pit was partially occupied by some snow plugs. The steep slope is very dangerous due to the presence of unstable blocks, which made it necessary to install bolts on the wall at about 2 metres of height.
History
Discovered and explored by members of the Groupe Spéléologique Massat in August 1970, who marked it as Es.2 and assigned it a vertical drop of 135 metres. Rediscovered and renamed D.2 during the July 1975 campaign of the S.S.P. and the A.S.M.P., reducing the depth to -116 metres.
