Characteristics

Location

Located in el Perelló, we will head to the end of carrer del Xiprer to follow the path of the bassa de les Comes; after covering 2.5 kilometres we reach the bassa, we will follow the track 330 metres further on where on the left there is a path to an abandoned hut where we will leave the vehicle.

Next to the abandoned hut and heading west, there is a small path, which passes through a small meadow; we must continue parallel to the barrancs along the hydrographic left bank without losing height; after about 200 metres we reach an area of old abandoned cultivation terraces; from this point the pit can be seen, marked with orange builder's cloth (data from 2012); from here we must cross the barranc del Pentinat and climb the other slope, up to approximately the same height as where we are, along a faintly marked trail, which will take us to the mouths of the pit.

Description

Morphology

The mouths, located at different levels, give access to a room with a dome and a wide 6-metre shaft; on the floor there is an embankment that takes us to some narrow, broken-up steps until reaching the Pas dels plors (which was cleared), then we will continue descending by downclimbing a wall of lumps until reaching the bottom of the sala Paula; there still remains a final step made between a stalactite and a stalagmite, reaching the sala Titi, the most spectacular of the cavity with a lot of not very active formation and a very high ceiling.
