Characteristics

Location

From the Pla de Campaments we will head in the direction of the quarry where the Avenc d'en Roca is found. After passing the barrier that prevents the passage of vehicles, we find a curve to the left. At this point one must follow a path on the right of the track until finding the ruins of the Maset de Can Dispanya; the cavity is found by following the path for 200 metres further on and at this point 15 metres to the left of the path.

Description

Morphology

Small entrance of 1 x 0.6 metres that gives access to a pit of 8.4 metres, but which at 4 metres already becomes wider forming a chamber with a sloping floor from which different galleries of short length and little height emerge.

History

Cavity discovered and explored in the spring of 1968 by members of the Grup d'Investigació Subterrània (GIS) of the Cooperativa Pau i Justícia del Poble Nou (Barcelona). The pit has two names because at that time, a female companion of the group, Alícia Gil, died in a car accident in Cerdanya and they dedicated it to her memory (Information provided by Alfred Montserrat, ERE – CEC).

We update the record (March 2016) including a survey unpublished until now, found in the archive of the ERE – CEC and made in October 1968 by Josep Castell and companions a few months after the discovery of the pit.
