Location

From the paved road of the Pla de Sots, a track heads towards the creu d'Ardenya, passing beside the doline where the avenc Gran de les Alzines is located. At this point on the track we find a tower of the power line; following the track a few metres further on, we will soon find another tower of the power line. From here we will follow beneath the cables towards the creu d'Ardenya for about 20 metres; next we must turn left for about 15 metres in order to find the cavity.

Description

Morphology

The entrance begins on a sloping slab. A pit of about 3 metres places us in a passage where a rock bridge divides it in two. A new pit of 2.5 metres places us on a base at -6.5 metres, where we find a narrow passage that could be dug open.

History

The first exploration was carried out in the late 1970's by the Centre Espeleològic Cervelló (CEC), who named the cavity Avenc PS-1. Later, around the year 2000, the SEO of CE Vallirana enlarged the entrance of the cavity, giving it a different configuration at the entrance; due to this new appearance they renamed it Avenc de la Llastra Inclinada.
