Location

At the head of the fondo de Vallbona (Garraf). From Campgràs, take the path to the pla de les Basses, following the perimeter of the landfill. When the small path that descends toward the Bassot de l'Arbre appears on the right, continue along the right-hand ridge and descend to the level of the Avenc dels Arítjols. The entrance is located a few metres to the right of the ridge line (west).

Description

Morphology

Formed by a single cylindrical pit approximately one metre in diameter and 4 metres deep. The base is occupied by abundant clastic materials.

History

Cavity discovered by Lluís Muntan on the same day he located the Avenc dels Arítjols (January 1986). He did not return until February 1999, when he carried out the survey, observing that in that interval of time someone had installed a spit at the entrance, without knowing who it was or what possible name they gave to the cavity.
